I HAVE sensitive, oily skin thats prone to acne around the T-zone area and large open pores. Whenever I use skincare for sensitive skin, my skin turns into a grease pan. It causes my skin to have breakouts especially around the chin and nose area. Mind you, they arent just small pimples but huge ugly red acne with pus! Im in my 30s and its embarrassing (depressing too!) to have angry acne while most of my peers have clear complexion. On the other hand, if I were to use a range specifically for oily or acne skin, my whole face turns red, and my skin starts to peel and broken capillaries become obvious. I have tried dozens of brands and am at my wits end. What can I do to regulate my skin? Can I do without any skincare regimen at all? Paige
Nobody enjoys having breakouts, no matter what age we are, says The Body Shop trainer Jacqueline Lim. Having both sensitive and acne-prone skin can be very challenging. You need to use a gentle cleanser to remove the surface oil that can contribute to acne, but not a cleanser that strips your skin of all its moisture.
