Even some Clemson fans we know are cheering the second consecutive national college baseball championship for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. The team took the title in the College World Series in Omaha, Neb., beating Florida 5-2. It’s a victory everyone in South Carolina should celebrate. State pride, you know.
USC Coach Ray Tanner told reporters after Tuesday night’s victory over the University of Florida that it was difficult to put into words “what we’ve experienced in the last few days.” Might we make a suggestion? How about “wow,” “woo-hoo” and “way to go,” each with lots of exclamation points?
